In Lugano there are no more overhead wires, but:
- along about 500 metres of road there are still the vertical poles with the horizontal bar where wires were suspended, there are still the hooks, but not the wires
- in the old Cornaredo depot-workshop there are about 20 metres of wires, divised on two covered lanes, with about 10 metres each; this depot will be closed this year, but the other depot (Rugi) is being extended with another building for the workshop. The company who owned the trolleybus has now about 40 autobus, but repair also about 60 other bus of another company (that has no workshop).
- there are some poles in the city, some still used by the city lights, other useless.
Now in Lugano there are only autobus and a suburban narrow gauge railway. There are no plans to rebuild the trolleybus network, between 2001 and 2004, 28 new buses werw bought, so I think that if the trolleys will be back, this will not be before 2015-2020.

101, 112, 124 and 127 have been saved by a club, 107 is in an Italian museum, 115 is somewhere in Czech Republic
I have forgotten to say that the company has still an old tower truck build between 1965-1975, sometimes, but not very often, is still used for works on city lights.
